Foodie Friday: 50 Shades of Yellow

One of my favorite snacks are these special baked eggs called 맥반석 계란.  You can find them at the korean sauna (public bath/spa).  They're eaten just like hard-boiled eggs but taste so much better.  No extra sauces are added to give them this brown color- it's all about the way they're baked.  It usually takes hours of baking on a special stone in the hottest room at the
sauna, but who has time for that?

You'll need:
-6 eggs
-3/4 cup of water-
-1/2 teaspoon of salt
-Pressurized rice cooker

Put the eggs, water, and salt in your pressure rice cooker and set time to 50 minutes- that's it! Perfectly baked eggs. The longer they cook, the browner they become~ you can experiment with time if you want a nuttier taste.
*Tip* - Leave your eggs out for at least 2 hours to bring to room temperature (to prevent cracking).

EDIT- 60 minutes in the pressure rice cooker worked better than 50 minutes~ perfect nutty baked taste!

DIY Wednesday: Goyard Clutch

I've been looking for a large flat clutch, with no luck for months.  When I can't find what I want, and I really really want it- I just make it.  That is how I ended up murdering my St. Louis GM.  In my defense, the bag was really old and losing shape.. story of my life!  I also made coin purses for two dear friends who happened to have birthdays in December, the month I finished my project :)

Everything was hand sewn and hand painted using the products below.  As with most things DIY, all it takes is a lot of time and patience.

*Tip* Angelus brand paint is great for painting anything leather- it won't crack or chip if used properly.
